About Ty Petty
I started playing pickleball about five years ago with my wife just for fun. I was ranked in the top 10 in the USA under 18 in table tennis when I was a kid and I also played tennis in high school. My biggest tournament win was mixed doubles over 40 years old at the 2018 US Open. I use the Babolat Rbel Touch and have fallen in love with Babolat paddles and shoes since I became a Babolat Pickleball Ambassador last year. I teach group clinics at PoP, the Pavilion of Pickleball, in Knoxville on a couple weekends each month. I also teach a lot of private and small group lessons by request at PoP and public courts all around east Tennessee for $20-$60 for up to two hours. My favorite way to teach is 3 and a pro to really work on improving strategy and shot selection. I would love to invite any visitors to Knoxville to play with us at PoP any Friday night for a fun night of mixed doubles with the friendliest group of players of all levels. Fun Fact: Ty is easily recognized by his ever-present smile and tie-dye headbands.
