My name is Rayman Hamid (Coach Ray). I am an athlete and an entrepreneur. At an incredibly young age I have engaged myself in the world of sports. I have gained proficiency in cricket, racquetball, volleyball (represented GUYANA Internationally). My skills as a pickleball player is renowned to the extent of recognition and later was sponsored professionally by Onix Pickleball from 2018 to current.
Currently I am rated at an impressive 4.5 level at 5 being the highest level by the USAPA. I have competed in approximately 48 tournaments against players at my level (4:5) and have medaled in over 85% with gold, silver and bronze in Singles, men double and mixed doubles. In 2019, I represented the State of Virginia at the National Senior Olympics in Albuquerque, NM, because of my extensive playing experience I was granted my Professional Pickleball Association (PPR) certificate for coaching. I also have my CPR and First Aid Certificate.
During my years of pickleball, I have volunteered my times and donated paddles and balls to many local pickleball groups, schools and community centers including the Boys and Girls Club Of America in Manassas, I am also a member of many local pickleball clubs in DMV area.
My goal as a coach: My first and forecast priority are my students and their success due to my teaching. With expertise in motivating adults and youths to achieve goals, improve skills and rating. My formula for success is tried and proven to be infallible for my students.
My Philosophy is: An athlete’s character is more important than their talent, strive to enhance the pickleball talents and finesse of my players, while developing their leadership, self-discipline and game ethic. A love for the game and a respect for the teammates can make any groups of players reach goals that seem impossible.
