R6 DISTILLERY is a Southern California distillery, crafting hand made spirits & whiskey with an onsite speakeasy tasting room.

Our process is quite different than most. We use only the purest form of our distillate when producing spirits. This is where most take short cuts and compromise the quality of the product. But we’re about quality – and our promise to you is just that. Each bottle of spirits will be crafted from the “hearts” of our distillate. We stick to doing what is right and what is authentic.

We’re passionate about a few things in life: adventure, building businesses, and distilling and brewing only the best. Our drinks are made to enjoy with family, with friends, with others. It’s far from your average vodka, gin, whiskey, or beer.

Our Story:

On May 24th, 1926 the six Rubens brothers opened the doors to what became known as the Rubens Rialto Theatre. A major undertaking in a small city at the time, the Rubens brothers hired a pair of Chicago-based architects, C.W. and George L. Rapp to execute their vision for a theatre that would rival any in the major cities. The result was a magnificent European inspired structure with an ornate exterior, and art filled decorum inside and out. Rob Rubens (4th generation) has always been amazed by what his family accomplished as entrepreneurs. The many stories Rob heard growing up, about the theatre during the Roaring 20’s and prohibition days, inspired Rob to leave the corporate world and continue the Rubens family tradition of taking your vision and making it reality.

R6 is a family owned distillery in the Los Angeles suburb of El Segundo, California just two miles south of Los Angeles International Airport. We produce over a dozen craft spirits in-house, as well as operating a speakeasy.
