About Mountain View Campground
Thomas and Elsie Harvey retired to Hiawassee in 1977 after raising their 3 children in Stockbridge, Ga. He and Elsie bought an old farmhouse (built sometime in the 1800’s) and some land and turned the property into Mountain View Campground. Today, Mountain View Campground is lovingly owned and maintained by PJ and Louie.

This super sweet spot is just outside of town and with around 30 FULL Hook up spots away from the hustle and bustle of some of the bigger campsites it’s a really great find for an intimate and top notch RV experience in Hiawasee. PJ and Louie are amazing, super hosts who are welcoming, helpful and available. We wanted to make a campfire one night and we needed wood and since they have it for sale we were able to buy some and have awesome fire. This gem of a spot is just 10 minutes from Towns County Pickleball Courts.
