Nothing brings people together like good Barbecue and a good time Hawg Wild has you covered with Carolina BBQ, Lexington BBQ, BBQ Ribs, BBQ Brisket, BBQ Chicken and of course BBQ Pork. Everyone’s meal starts off with unbelievably sweet Hushpuppies. Great menu items include Chicken Wings, Brunswick stew, Smoked Turkey, Smoked Chicken Fresh Salads and Fresh Sides. We have Draft Beers and an excellent selection of craft beers that will tantalize your taste buds. Homemade Desserts, Ice Cream and fresh fudge from the Fudge shop are there to help end your meal the right way. You can sit on our outside patio or Inside for dining. Large screen TV’s are available for the sports watchers.

After my first 4.5 women’s doubles outing and playing ALL day in the hot sun and pulled out a gold, we were craving BBQ and luckily Hawg Wild BBQ is a quick drive across the street from the pickleball courts. A plate of 1/2 BBQ chicken with coleslaw and beans hit the spot. I devoured every bite. This restaurant is locally owned and operated by James Reaux a local pickleballer!
Take a seat outside and experience wonderful views of the beautiful Lake Chatuge! The food is really great BBQ and it’s a must go every time for the Pickleball | Eat. Sleep. Play. Team post pickleball play when we visit Hiawassee. We also love seeing and playing pickleball with owner, James Reaux.
